Ski Beginner – 6 Nights

On this package you will have 4 days of Ski lessons in a small group, every morning. Our qualified and patient instructors will guide you through the basics of skiing in the nursery slopes set aside for safe and easy learning. Most of the essentials are included, so all you'll need to organise are your ski clothes and spending money.

All packages include:

5-day ski hire and boots, or 5-day snowboard hire and boots.
5 day Lift pass – this lets you go up the mountain and get on the slopes.
Group lessons for beginners.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Chalet Accommodation and Airport Transfers.
Any Included arranged activities and sightseeing, see itinerary.
Transport to meals, lessons, activities, and sightseeing.

You will also go for visits to see amazing Swiss locations such as: Montreux, Château de Chillon, Mountain Hot Springs and Thermal Baths, Glacier 3000 Peak Bridge, and the United Nations in Geneva.

Pickup at Geneva Airport
You will be met at the airport by one of our hosts, who will greet you with a name card, assist you with your luggage, and escort you to our luxury Mercedes MiniVan ready to drive you to the resort. Your vacation begins as you recline in its plush, luxurious leather seats. You’ll enjoy cold drinks, snacks, all while gliding comfortably to our chalet.

Check-in
Upon arrival at our scenic chalet, nestled in the Swiss mountains, you’ll be greeted with your choice of hot Chinese tea or a glass of champagne. Sip your beverage of choice, and begin enjoying the breathtaking views as you stroll about the building. Our staff will bring your luggage to your room.You and your family will be guided to your luxurious bedroom accommodations, where you’ll find your beds have already been turned down for the evening.

Ski Fitting
For those opting for a ski package, you will be met to try on ski boots and measure you for appropriate skis for your height and experience.

Ski Lesson
When you are learning how to ski as a beginner even just sliding on snow can be intimidating at first. In our beginning ski lessons you will start in the beginner area on a short, gentle slope. The instructor will show you how to get your skis on and off, how to get up from the ground (useful if you fall over), before moving on to the more difficult skills needed slide the skis on the snow and how to get on and off different types of chair lifts.

Lunch on Cruise Boat
We will show you a new side to the ethereal lake side landscape beauty of Switzerland: enjoy a two-hour lake escape tour melded perfectly with a decadent fine dining experience aboard the beautifully restored historic steam boats. You might feel like you have stepped back in time.

Sightseeing
Château de Chillon is a romantic castle in Lake Geneva built in the 12th century in a beautiful location on a small rocky island near Montreux. The castle, still in excellent condition, offers visitors a glimpse into the noble past, and glorious views from the top of the castle to Lake Geneva, Montreux, and the Alps. In your first days learning, one of the first things you worry about is how to stop. Your patient instruction will start showing you how to master snowplough which is the first way of slowing down and stopping.

After your ski lesson what better way to relax than on the sun bathed panoramic terrace of a Swiss alpine restaurant conveniently located at the top of the mountain. Sit back and relax as you enjoy the view overlooking the Dents-de-midi peaks, sampling hearty local dishes in the warm and rustic atmosphere. In this unique setting, enjoy Swiss specialties such as cheese raclette or fondue.

Free Time - Fun Activities or Ski Self Practice
You can choose to practice what you learnt in today's lesson, or head back down the mountain for some free time. For those who need to burn up more energy, go discover gorgeous views on a well connected cross-country ski run. For those who need the quiet time, you can discover the tranquility of the silent forests with glistening icicles hanging from the tree branches, and the sparkle of the soft powder snow all around you on our snowshoe trails, if you are really quiet, you might even spot the local wildlife close by, a snow rabbit, or fox, or perhaps even a mountain ibex. If you enjoy tobogganing, then the ride down our 2 km slope will set your heart racing. Or perhaps you'd prefer to go for a spin on a snow tube with friends. On the square in Barboleuse, the outdoor ice rink of Gryon is a friendly meeting place in winter. Small snack bar, skate hire and skating lessons on site. Browse the towns local shops, discover some local specialities. Enjoy a massage or spa treatment. Or perhaps you prefer to cuddle up near the open fire with a good book and a hot drink, to relax and unwind. It’s all up to you.

After breakfast served at the chalet, you will be transported to Gstaad - a German speaking village in the southwestern region of Switzerland. It has a population of 9,200 and its soaring mountains and prestigious international boarding schools have long made Gstaad a holiday destination for royalty and celebrities. Here, you will find the Promenade, an epicenter of high-fashion boutiques and international brands in case you wish to make this season's most glamorous of purchases!

Option 1: Night sledding ride
Come join the thrill of sledding 7km in the dark! You will be taken up the mountain by chairlift, you will enjoy a Cheesefondue on the mountain, then turn on your torch, get on your sled, and lets go. See you at the bottom for a well deserved hot mulled wine!

Option 2: Skidoo to mountain hut traditional dinner
For those with children under 6, or those not keen on a nighttime sledding activity, we offer the fun alternative of a skidoo ride up the mountain to an authentic secluded mountain refuge which has been converted to a charming Swiss restaurant with a warm and welcoming setting. Here you will be served authentic Swiss Mountain food such as fondue, rusti, etc.

Ski Lesson
Next your instructor will focus on establishing your balance and posture, perfecting sliding and developing your snow plough to control your speed (including stopping).

The next step is learning how to turn: Your instructor will show you how to place the skis to turn and traversing a slope.

Thermal Baths
In this 1600m2 thermal spa set against a backdrop of spectacular alpine scenery, you will experience relaxation and well-being through water therapy at a temperature of 32c to 36c. Over the course of two hours, you work your way through consecutive stations: your body is gradually warmed, cleansed, relaxed using whirlpool, massage jets, waterfalls, currents, massages, hammam and sauna. Indulgent spa treatments are available on request to ensure you feel totally pampered.

Option 1: Geneva Old Town Visit
As an alternative to visiting the UNOG, you can choose to walk through Geneva’s Old Town. With 2000 years of history in its many historical buildings now housing art galleries, antique shops and museums you will feel as if you’ve travelled back in time.

Option 2: United Nations Guided Tour
On the last day of your Swiss adventure, you can embark on a journey exploring the United Nations of Geneva (UNOG) and the beautiful gardens of the Palais des Nations. You will be guided through the corridors and rooms, hear stories of international affairs and shop for interesting souvenirs at the end of the tour. Option Restricted by Tour opening times and seasonal availability.

For our last meal together, what better way to finish than to try the local speciality of Geneva, the Lake Geneva fish Perch. We will take a walk lakeside Geneva, to find a little restaurant in the beautiful gardens, and enjoy our fish while keeping a view of the lake and the famous Jet d’eau.

Quick access to the main Ski Cabin: ‘Roc D’Orsay’ telecabine to get to the ski area. Directly from the Chalet you can find your own snow shoe or hiking trails into the forest.

    • If any visit is missed due to closure or maintenance issues, all efforts will be made to cover the sightseeing on an alternative day, time permitting.
